HOW I ENDED UP HERE
Why this work matters to me
There hasn’t been one dramatic turning point in my life.
There have been several quiet moments where I realised I couldn’t keep living on autopilot.
From the outside, things looked fine.
Inside, I felt disconnected in a way sleep didn’t fix.
I’ve changed direction more than once.
Changed work. Changed priorities. Changed the way I saw my health.
Each pivot came with the same question:
Am I actually listening to myself?

The crossroads
The most recent shift came when a long-term contracting role ended unexpectedly during a business restructure.
There was no safety net. Just a pause.
And in that pause I had a choice:
Rebuild the same life again
—or—
finally invest in understanding my own health properly.
Not quick fixes.
Not surface-level advice.
I needed to understand the deeper signals my body had been sending for years — energy, hormones, stress, resilience, mindset.
I realised something freeing:
If I wanted to live well long-term, I had to take ownership of my wellbeing.
Not because anything was wrong with me.
Because my life was asking for my attention.
That decision changed everything.
HOW I ENDED UP HERE
What I learned
Most people aren’t broken.
They’re overwhelmed.
Disconnected.
Running on noise.
Our heads are noisy.
Our hearts are noisy.
Our lives are noisy.
And when everything is loud, we stop trusting ourselves.
We can’t see clearly.
We can’t feel clearly.
We second-guess the voice that used to guide us.
That’s where coaching matters.
Not as a solution.
As a space.
A space to slow down.
A space to be honest.
A space to get curious instead of critical.
When the noise softens, clarity returns.
And from clarity, change becomes possible.
HOW I ENDED UP HERE
How I coach
I don’t fix people.
I sit beside them while they reconnect with what already works.
Health coaching is a supportive conversation — not therapy, not medical treatment — but a grounded place to explore what’s happening in your body and your life without judgement.
My role isn’t to tell you who to be.
It’s to help you hear yourself again.
And when that happens, the path forward usually becomes much simpler than it first seemed.

HOW I ENDED UP HERE
Why this matters to you
Because I know what it feels like to lose your bearings.
And I know how powerful it is to feel connected to yourself again.
That moment when things stop feeling chaotic and start feeling possible.
That’s the work I care about.
And it’s a privilege to walk beside people while they rediscover it.

Start with a gentle conversation
You don’t have to figure everything out alone.
Sometimes clarity starts with one honest conversation.
EXPERIENTIAL LIBRARY
The work that shaped me
I have worked in a diverse range of industries and areas – all have added to my people rich experiential library. Here are the last few of mine!
real me
Jackie Saunders
Like you – I am interested in a diverse range of things – here are a few of mine!

Coach
Helping others bring their dreams and beautiful ideas to life has been my passion as long as I remember. Not a day passes by when I don’t feel grateful that my passion is also my work.
Nanny/Mum
It would seem that being a parent means raising your children and teaching them about the world. And yet, I often find the roles reversed. My children\grandchildren remind me about the wonders of life.
Fermenter
I believe in the power of fermented foods for feeding and healing my gut. Kefir and Sauerkraut are constants – all home made!
Food Grower
I believe in the healing power of growing and eating my own food, and you’ll often find me in my unruly food garden, where I cultivate the fruit, veges and herbs.
Healthy Eating Chef
Tongue in cheek – saying chef! I am more of an unqualified experimenter. Once I knew what foods I wanted to eat to improve my health, I explored how to make them the best and most delicious things to eat!
Walker/Cyclist
Being a more mature lady now, I know mobility, movement and strength need to be a focus if I want to be a feisty, sprightly older woman – I do! I love walking and cycling in nature, and I have returned to the gym after a long hiatus.
